Richard Harron

Richard has been coaching & teaching a variety of sports for over 20 years in the Lower Mainland.  He is currently a certified Level 1 Mountain Biking Instructor with the Professional Mountain Bike Instructor Association (PMBIA) and had completed the Mountain Bike Instructor Training – Level 1 Program in 2013.  

His resume also includes Level 2 CSIA Ski Instructor and teaches in the winter at Grouse Mountain. He’s also an Entry Level Alpine Canada Coach, Level 1 Disabled Skiing Instructor, National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) certified Level 2 coach. Richard holds a current Canadian Red Cross Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level C certification.

Richard lives in Port Coquitlam, is married with three boys and one active grandson. Richard retired early from corporate life in 2014 and holds a BA in Economics and an MBA in Information Technology Management.

Richard is currently an ambassador with Norco Bicycles, Kinetik Cycles and Trailforks.

  1. Hello,

    We’ve been holidaying on Hornby island and I’ve been doing some mountain biking and have really been enjoying it. I’m an ok cyclist and can do reasonable trails but I’m interested in learning some mountain bike specific skills. Are you still offering lessons! Either group or private?
