🚴‍♂️ Book Now — Lesson Prices Increasing July 1st Due to Rising Insurance Costs

If you’ve been considering booking a private or small-group lesson with The Learning Curve Mountain Biking, now’s the perfect time.

Starting July 1st, lesson prices will increase slightly to help cover the rising cost of business insurance. All bookings paid before July 1st will still be honoured at current rates, so early registration is encouraged!

🧾 Why the Price Increase?

Like many small businesses in the outdoor recreation space, The Learning Curve has seen a significant jump in liability insurance premiums this year. In fact:

  • Across Canada, commercial liability insurance premiums for adventure sport businesses have increased between 15%–40% over the past three years.
  • Due to perceived risk, instructors and guides in the cycling, climbing, and paddling industries have been especially affected.
  • Some bike schools have reported year-over-year increases of $600–$1,000 or more, despite no claims or changes in operations.
  • The Learning Curve has been claim-free since it started operating in 2014.

While we’ve done everything possible to keep our pricing stable, the $765 increase in insurance costs this year has made it necessary to make a modest adjustment to our lesson rates.

💬 Our Commitment

We stay committed to:

  • Offering small-group and private lessons focused on fun, safety, and skill-building
  • Keeping programs accessible and well-supported
  • Running a professional, insured operation

This price increase ensures we can continue delivering the high-quality instruction you expect — while remaining compliant with industry standards and liability protection.

📅 Book Before July 1st to Lock In Current Prices

All lessons paid in full before July 1st will be charged at 2024 pricing, regardless of the lesson date. If you’ve been thinking about improving your skills — or booking for a family member or friend — now’s the best time.
